Maggie Hawkins is a Spike and the Bulldogs alumnus who will add a new dimension of vocals and wind instruments to the Bulldogs. She joined the Bulldogs in 1992 and left in 1999 to start a family with her husband Rod.
She comes from a highly musical family and played her first professional gigs with her mother Rita Girard. Maggie went on to play red-hot saxophone with many popular Fort Wayne bands including The Belairs, Jump Start and Waterproof Elves.
Maggie ran The Music House in Decatur In for many years.She's stayed musically active in her church praise band and giving private music lessons. On top of that, Maggie is a highly skilled and trained professional piano tuner.
Now that Maggie’s daughter Emma has turned 16 and cousin Jim is retiring, the timing is perfect for a 2016 reunion with the Bulldogs!
